One thing mobile developers need to start using today
Axway's announcement is going the change the way you look at native mobile development.

There were several big announcements coming out of the Axway Imagine Summit today. One, in particular, has gotten mobile developers pretty excited. Axway announced that their Indie Development Plan is now free AND that Hyperloop will now be included in that plan (also for free)! This is huge for mobile developers and organizations that currently use or have considered using Appcelerator Titanium in the past.

So what is Hyperloop (and why should I care as a mobile developer)?
Hyperloop is Axway’s next-generation compiler that gives Titanium mobile developers full access to the native iOS, Android, and Windows APIs, all from within JavaScript. Basically that means you can continue to create cross-platform native applications using Titanium AND you have access to all the native APIs for doing all the cool stuff you’ve been wanting to do! See an awesome package on CocoaPods and want it in your app? Great! You can do that! Android devs can also add aar and jar files to their project and those libraries get treated like 1st class citizens!
Appcelerator Titanium has always been used to create cross-platform native apps but adding Hyperloop changes everything. This appears to be just the first step in altering the course for Titanium and I, for one, am excited to see where Axway is going with it!
